Al Mouj Muscat Marathon supports the fight against COVID-19 and follows the guidelines that are in compliance with the Supreme Committee decision and Ministry of Health to ensure the highest safety standards and relevant preventative measures to protect health and safety of its community members.

Participation Guidelines
• All participants are required to prove they received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.
• All participants agree to abide by the conditions for the event’s precautionary measures by signing up for the event.
• People with chronic diseases are not allowed to participate in the event.
• Self-social distancing of 1.5m at all times.
• Stay in the Race Village Area till your distance is called to the Start Area.
• No gatherings/hugging/touching/group photos etc.
• Self-service water stations along on course and at the finish line.
• Sanitize your hands regularly at designated stations.
• If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home.
• More information on the protocols to be followed will be available in the Runners’ Guide.

Yes, allow yourself some extra time to complete temperature checks upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature above 37.5° C (99.5° F) will not be permitted entry into the race.

Yes, all participants are required to be double vaccinated as per Oman guidelines.

If you live outside Oman, please choose wisely if it is possible to travel to Oman in February as you are personally responsible for this choice. Based on current guidelines, travelers are allowed to enter Oman and we are hoping things will continue to change for the better.

Please note that the information on this website will be updated when the COVID-19 situation changes.

All runners must wear their masks for the first 500m of the race. Masks must be worn at all times before and after the race, they will be positioned at key points in and around the race village so everyone has access to one.

Al Mouj Muscat Marathon continues to work with health officials to determine best practices to ensure the safety of all community members. Safety measures and protocols, along with participant requirements pending local regulations and event plans, will be made available in the coming months.


Unfortunately, bib names once entered cannot be changed.

The new dates for the event are 11th & 12th November 2022 and your registration will carry forward. If the event is postponed, a refund can be requested by sending an email to support@muscatmarathon.om on or before 12th February 2022. After this date, all registrations will automatically be moved to the rescheduled dates of the event as mentioned above.
If the event is cancelled indefinitely, you will be able to avail of a refund on your ticket. The amount refunded will be excluding service charges paid in both scenarios. For more information, please read our Terms & Conditions.

Race result will be available to search on the official website soon after the end of the event.

Bring a government issued photo I.D. to the registration area on race day, and we will issue a new number. We will cancel your previous number and void the timing device so that no one can misrepresent you.

After initially registering your email address in our entry page, you should have received an email explaining how to complete your entry. If you did not receive this email, it means that you have incomplete entry.

You should be at the start line at least 30 minutes before your race starts. We will be communicating what time should be at the event venue as well as other useful information like parking areas and road closures etc. in the Runners’ Guide that will be published at a later date.


Race pack collection will be open between 1200 and 2100 (local time) at the Race Village (Al Mouj Muscat) on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th November 2022.

Each Race Pack will contain your runner’s bib, baggage tag, event t-shirt, and other goodies from selected Al Mouj Muscat Marathon sponsors and suppliers.

Someone else can collect your Race Pack on your behalf, as long as you provide them with a copy of your confirmation email and photo ID.

Only international runners, who arrive in to Oman after Race Pack Collection has closed, will be allowed to collect their packs on the morning of the event. This will be between 0430 – 0530 on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 February.
