2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon Postponement

It is with devastated hearts that the Sultanate of Oman mourns the loss of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.

In this time of mourning, the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon has been postponed until 21-22 February 2020.

All registered runners have been sent an email informing them of the postponement. All further updates will be posted on the official Al Mouj Muscat Marathon website and social channels.

POSTPONEMENT

The deadline for your refund and deferral requests is the 13th February 2020. These must be submitted in writing, by emailing info@muscatmarathon.om

Entries have now re-opened, although very limited spaces are available. Please make sure you register as soon as possible to book your place on the 2020 start line.

Please contact your airline or travel agent for the best advice about any flights booked for the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon.

In order to make the change as smooth as possible for our valued participants, Oman Air is offering all registered runners who booked Oman Air flights a free of charge flight change.

To take up this offer, please send your full name (as displayed on your ticket), booking reference, e-ticket number, and new flight dates to info@muscatmarathon.om as soon as possible. Please note that seats are limited and subject to availability on the dates requested.

If you are unable to take part in the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon on 21-22 February due to work commitments, travel, or because you are registered to take part in another event, please contact us on info@muscatmarathon.om and a member of the Event Organising team will be happy to help.

Race pack collection will be open between 1200 and 2100 (Muscat time) at the Al Mouj Race Village in Muscat on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 February 2020. A map of the Race Village can be found in the Runners’ Guide.

The timing for each event is unchanged and can be viewed in Event Info.

You should be at the start line at least 30 minutes before your race starts. We will be communicating what time should be at the event venue as well as other useful information like parking areas and road closures etc. in the Runners’ Guide.

The courses for all the events being staged during the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon are unchanged. To view the route map for your event, please select your race from the Distances tab in the dropdown menu or consult the Runners’ Guide.

No, all entries for the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon have automatically been transferred to the new dates.

The dates for the 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon were changed to 21-22 February out of respect for the 40 days of mourning for the sad passing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said.

The 2020 Al Mouj Muscat Marathon will be held on 21-22 February 2020.

ENTRY WITHDRAWALS / PROFILE EDITS & UPDATES

The window to change your personalised bib has now closed. Anyone who entered after 11 December 2019 will have a bib displaying their race number only.

The window to change your t-shirt size has now closed.

To update your information, either click on the relevant link in your confirmation email or the link inside the red box in your payment receipt email.

If you would like to update your email address, please email info@muscatmarathon.om and we will do this for you.

RACE INFORMATION

The 2x Medal Challenge has now sold out. Please note, runners who have entered two races, either the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, or 10KM race on Friday 20 February 2020, plus the 5KM on Saturday 21 February 2020, will be automatically entered into the 2x Medal Challenge. Happy training!

6 hours for the Marathon
3 hours for the Half Marathon
2 hours for the 10KM Run
1 hour for the 5KM Run

RACE PACK COLLECTION

Race pack collection will be open between 1200 and 2100 (local time) at the Race Village (Al Mouj, Muscat) on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 February. A map of the Race Village can be found in the Runners’ Guide.

Each Race Pack will contain your runner’s bib, baggage tag, event t-shirt, and other goodies from selected Al Mouj Muscat Marathon sponsors and suppliers.

Someone else can collect your Race Pack on your behalf, as long as you provide them with a copy of your confirmation email and photo ID.

Only international runners, who arrive in to Oman after Race Pack Collection has closed, will be allowed to collect their packs on the morning of the event. This will be between 0430 – 0530 on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 February.

Please email info@muscatmarathon.om by 14 February 2020 with a copy of your flight booking and confirmation e-mails so we can plan accordingly.
