Here’s a list of Frequently Asked Questions, to hopefully simplify and enhance your customer service experience. These cover the registration process – all the way to the marathon finish line – and beyond!

I’m having trouble registering and/or facing a technical issue on the website (i.e. link not working, website is down etc.) / I can’t find the answer to my question on the FAQ list right now, what do I do now?
Simply drop us an email describing your issue, with as much information as possible, to firstname.lastname@example.org. A member of our team will review and we will do our best to get back to you promptly (normally within 24 hours) to assist you in solving the problem.
Participant and registration/Race category
Can I transfer my place to another person?
If you are unable to participate in the event, you may indeed transfer your place to another individual by sending a request to email@example.com, providing the reasons for the transfer. Our team will then guide through the steps to complete the transfer. Please note that no transfer requests will be accepted after December 1st 2017, when the facility to make changes closes.
I’m not able to run, can my friend use my entry instead?
We appreciate that you can’t run but unfortunately the race rules do not allow people to run with others’ bibs and time chips, as these situations create potential medical safety hazards. Please refer to “Can I transfer my place to another person” above.
Can I change categories?
Yes no problem, as long as you change within the registration period. If you decide to upgrade to the next race category there will be credit card administration charges that apply: 5% of the paid fees as well as 0.75 USD.
If you wish to change to a lower priced running category, there will be no additional charge, but please note that no refund of the difference can be given.
I need to cancel my registration. How can I do that?
Under general circumstances, cancellations or refunds are unfortunately not possible. However, in special cases, our team may review a request and a final decision will be made that is solely at the discretion of the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon team.
I want to change or update information in my registration, what is the process to do so?
That’s no problem at all. You can simply login to the registration page to update your information.
Race Pack collection
We won’t be able to make it to the Race Pack Collection dates; can we send someone to collect it for us?
If you are unable to attend the Race Pack Collection days, we will provide a form on a later date to assign someone else to collect it.
Would it be possible to collect our Race Packs on the race day?
Unfortunately, Race Packs can’t be collected on the same day of the race. We will announce the official dates for collection and locations soon.
Where do I collect my running number?
You’ll be able to collect your bib number at Oman Sail’s HQ car park. This will be part of your race pack.
Miscellaneous – Race information
Where can I get more information about the route?
We are currently planning the route and are looking forward to announcing it very soon.
Can we listen to music during the race?
For the safety of all participants, it is highly recommended that you don’t listen to music during the race.
What is the cut off time for the race?
The cut off time for completion is 12pm.
What is the prize money on offer at this event?
